When broadband cable Internet became a viable and affordable alternative to dial-up modems, it was not available for business locations.

After more than a year negotiating with senior executives of Comcast, we finally received approval to install their connection in an office condominium in Burlingame, California.

Soon, we were breaking ground for the first-ever Comcast Broadband installation in a commercial building.

We took advantage of a network connection near the building, giving maximum signal strength to the 2 dozen tenants that consisted of private judges, legal firms and other affluent professionals.

To bring the line into the building, we hired a competent contractor that was familiar with local ordinances and considerations for installing this new technology to dig a trench across the street. They brought the cable from the telephone pole into the point of entry through a basement parking garage wall.
